Introducing our newest addition...

NOVEMBER 10TH

In 1898, the McKoy family moves from Boston to Wilmington, North Carolina, hoping for a fresh start. John Robert McKoy, an aspiring journalist, eagerly joins The Daily Record, led by the esteemed editor Alex Manly. His wife Henrietta and their children, Samuel and Amelia, navigate the promises and uncertainties of their new city.

Wilmington is thriving economically, particularly within its Black community, but political tensions simmer beneath the surface. Alfred Waddell, a charismatic and divisive leader, aims to reshape the city's future. As the McKoys settle in, they witness the growing unrest and division that grip Wilmington.

The 1898 election, a turning point in the city's history, looms large, its outcome hanging in the balance. Waddell's campaign, fueled by fear and division, escalates into violence and upheaval on Election Day. The McKoys, caught in the eye of the storm, find themselves grappling with the chaos, their lives and hopes hanging in the balance, as they strive to find a glimmer of hope in a city torn apart.

Set against a crucial moment in American history, "November 10th" intertwines the personal struggles of the McKoy family with broader themes of politics, race, and identity. It is a powerful story of resilience, love, and the quest for justice amidst uncertainty and conflict.

A Walk in the Park

Growing up on 30th Street in Wilmington, North Carolina is not the easiest thing for Sean until he finds his purpose. Being the youngest sibling is one thing, but being the youngest sibling with twin brothers is a completely different story. You are always outnumbered and you can never do anything the way it should be done. Sean is trying to find a way to be around the twins, Robert and David, even if they are treating him like he doesn’t belong. All he wants to do is go to the park in the middle of the neighborhood with his brothers. After discovering that Sean has a gift, things seemed to go differently with their relationship, but as he gets older, he encounters a number of other issues causing him to question everything. He will have to lean on the people that never wanted him around in the beginning, for guidance and understanding.

Just having gone through a tragic event, Sean is now in search of a few people that have the information for the questions that he needs answered. His teachers are on him making sure his grades don't begin to slip and constant encounters with Big Junebug, the school bully, and his sidekick Lil Tiko, whose main objective is to wreak havoc on all the students at Williston Middle School, but they may have met their match. With the help of his best friend Peaches, they navigate through Wilmington, North Carolina ending up in some sketchy places with equally sketchy people, hoping to get what he desperately needs. Obviously, Laura and Robert are not happy with Sean finding himself in these places, but he just may be on to something.
